People links in Rich Text Templates
Hi, can anyone tell me if I can remove the "=LINKIND" in the census templates. I know I can in the birth, marriage ones etc easy enough to customise but I haven't found a way to customise the Census ones, save me manually doing each one. With the links it adds Record: plus quotes around the name when the data is transferred to TNG.

Re: People links in Rich Text Templates
The word Record: plus quotes around the name is the Export Gedcom File conversion of FH Ric Text Note internal record links for the Rich Text Formatting option which defaults to HTML 5 format. Is there a way of making them actual TNG record links?
If so would that be better?

Re: People links in Rich Text Templates
Sorry Mike, I am clearly being a pain and it is just the Census output I can't seem to resolve.
Here is an example of the HTML that is outputted to the Actual Text for the source. It just has the paragraph tags.
<p> Record: "Anthony John" </p>
Not sure it would be easy to get a link to work as the link tag would need the PHP page link which it isn't going to know on export. On all but the census it's super easy to just customise the template to remove the =LINKIND census records being a bit different doesn't seem to have a way of doing that. I can manually change them but just thought worth asking if there is a way to customise the Rich Text so that it doesn't link. Just tried the different output options too and the tidiest is definitely the HTML 5 option, looks really good apart from the Record: bit.
Don't know if it's something you could add to your list for the plugin, for time being I shall just manually edit Census records and finish customising templates for Birth, Baptism, Burial & Death.
Just running a test database at the moment working through various source types before I add the real data. Decided to fully re-do my tree so everything is consistent and tidy and fully sourced properly. Plus check everything against DNA and check for new sources for people I haven't looked at for some years.

Oh plus with regards to linking, the TNG source pages have a list of everyone linked to the source at the bottom of the page so wouldn't need links in the text itself.

You don't need to modify any templates for any source types. Just go to Options->General Settings Source Text->Hyperlink to Individual Records and untick.

Brilliant thanks Nick, went through the settings more than once and missed that option hence why I started looking at the template. Glad I only got as far as one
