Me again
I have spent too much time trying to work this out and I know it can be done but I just can't remember how. When I have a templated source and I want to add a link to a second informant on birth certificate for example or both mothers on a wedding certificate and DoB (they are on recent Scottish Marriage certificates). How do I edit the Text from Source and add links?

Re: Edit Citation Text from Source
I've moved this to the FH General Usage forum as it does not seem to involve Plugins.
The Text From Source field is not affected by whether it is a Generic or Templated Source. The process is the same for both.
I assume you have the Citation Window open and have opened its Text From Source tab.
There you select the Text From Source entry and in the text box below, click the [...] button on the right of the box.
The toolbar at the top has a paperclip icon that allows Add Link to Individual Record where you choose the required informant or mother, etc. Just type in the DoB as plain text.

Thanks Mike,
I couldn't see the [...], as it is so narrow at the side of the Text Box. I must have double clicked the Text From Source entry the last time I did it, as that does the same. Is their a way to make the [...] wider?

No, the [...] cannot be made wider, but that is the standard way to open the Rich Text edit window and double click is just as good.

[...] is used a lot across Windows, it is just so narrow on that window that you can't make it out on a 14" laptop screen. Maybe on a bigger screen but it just looks like some dust on this size screen. Doesn't matter, now that I know it's there I'll find it from now on. Thanks again.
