Text size on maps
Is there any way to increase the text size on maps? Mine is tiny and I can find no way to increase the size. I'm using the default Open Street Map and FH7. I only get this in FH7 as if I use the web version the text size is readable.

Re: Text size on maps
Have you tried Tools > Preferences > Display > Screen Font Scaling ?
However, that will affect text size in most other windows too.

Yes, it makes all the other text larger but has no effect on the maps.

Re: Text size on maps
I believe the map font is set by OpenStreetMap (and FH is just displaying what OSM provides).
I can't find any way to adjust the font within OSM itself.

Re: Text size on maps
Exactly what text on the Map Window are you talking about?
- Text pane on the left for facts or places ~ this adjusts with Screen Font Scaling
- Text in popup windows on the Map pane ~ this adjusts with Screen Font Scaling
- Place name legends on the Map pane itself ~ changes as the Map is zoomed but unaffected by Screen Font Scaling

Not what I see, Mike. It scales momentarily and then reverts to 'the norm'. It never meets accessibility guidelines.

I'm talking about the place names and street names on the map itself. These resize when you zoom in but are still too small to read. There is usually a brief moment when you zoom in when they become readable but then they resize to very small.

Re: Text size on maps
I suspect that behaviour is governed by the OpenStreet Map display panes and is much the same in a browser.
I doubt if FH can do much about that.
Perhaps try the https://www.openstreetmap.org/help Forums, etc.

Mike, so what I said here?
There is nothing helpful in the osm forums that I could find (search terms 'label font' or 'label size').

Re: Text size on maps
I've had a quick search of the osm forums and found little of use. I have to admit most of it seem gibberish to me but then I don't know much about the package. I did find some references to tiles which seem to be which bits of maps you display and the text size is a feature of these tiles, but that might be nothing to do with how it works in FH. I guess I'll have to use the web version to find the places I want, then find them again in FH. It's a bit more work but a reasonable work around.

This appears to be the only relevant information/advice available:

Probably not what most people would think to search for if just wanting information on Font size.
