Licence (Re)-Activation

Post by mezentia » 22 Sep 2022 13:27

I have had to rebuild my laptop. I previously had FH V7 installed. I have re-installed V7, but it now wants to be activated. I have logged on to the FH website and it says that my laptop is active. It also says if I deactivate the laptop I cannot re-activate it on the same licence. So how do I proceed?

Does the FH page https://www.family-historian.co.uk/activation-help provide any answers.

If something in the system changes this can trigger FH into thinking a new PC is in use. In general, you can safely deactivate the older activation for the same hardware without getting into problems.
