Hello, apologies, as always, that I’ve failed to find this information elsewhere.
I’m creating a chart from a diagram, adapting an existing template, and want the notes to appear in it. 2 questions:
1. How do I get rid of the template text ‘Note’ - I don’t want it to appear, but can’t work out how I do that.
2. How/can I format the text in the note so that it’s bigger?
In anticipation!
Ruth

Re: Formatting text in charts
As always with such requests, it helps us to see what you have in your definitions and an explanation of what you have tried.
The changes are made in the Diagram > Options > Text tab.
If you wish to preserve the original Text Scheme then first use the Clone... button to create a copy.
Select the copy and use the Edit Text Scheme... button.
1) There are many types of Note (Individual, Family, Fact, etc.) and many associated Templates.
So we need to know exactly what you have used in order to advise how to remove the word Note.
In general, you select the Note item, click the Edit button below and delete the word Note from the Template.
Click Test to check the Tempate is syntactically valid, and then click OK.
However, that does not guarantee that the effect you want has been achieved.
So post a screenshot of the Template so we can advise.
2) From the Available Items select Font Change and add it to Used Items.
In doing so you can choose what font style, size, colour, etc, you want for the Notes.
Use the small black up arrow below to move it just above the Note item.
If there are other items below the Note then repeat the above process but retain the default font and move it up to just below the Note item.

Re: Formatting text in charts
Mike - that's BRILLIANT - all sorted... for some reason I'd been deleting the text 'note' between the '%'s and hadn't tried deleting the word 'note' before them -
The way to format text wasn't on my radar at all - but is now
So huge thanks
Ruth
