Source citation list no longer sorts correctly
I don't know whether this is a bug or user error/ignorance. Up until this morning when I wished to enter a citation to an existing source the list of sources that came up sorted correctly, I think by short title.
This morning a had to run a few of the standard source queries and did some sorting by clicking on the headers.
Now the ordinary alphabetic source of the select source window has gone kerflugety. By clicking the header I can restore the regular alphabetical source order, but the change back to the original order does not become permanent.
This is most annoying — it adds an extra click to every citation entry, an already clicky process. Any suggestions for a remedy will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Source citation list no longer sorts correctly
The Select Source window opens with the same sort order as the Sources tab of the main Records window. So you need to sort alphabetically in the Records window.

Hint: If you are adding a few regular Sources you can either copy and paste the citation (it has it's own clipboard) or set up an Automatic Source citation using a Prepared citation if you are entering a lot of information from the same source.
You can also add your favourite sources to the Favourites tab on the Source selection window.

Wonderful! Thanks to both of you. Now that the 1950 U.S. census is coming on line, there's lots to do. Any streamlining of the process is vy welcome.
Thanks again.

For streamlining consider using AS.

For clarity, this comment is referring to Ancestral Sources.

Sorry to sound dim, but which is the "Source Selection window"?

I believe Jane was speaking of the bookmark function on the window that opens when you click on Add Citation in the Sources For: pane.

You can use that icon to add or remove the selected source from the bookmarks. You can also right click on the selected source to do the same thing.
To access the bookmarks you must select the middle icon on the top that looks kind of like a bookmark.
