I already have FH Version 6 installed on my PC.

My son has bought the full Version 7 for me and has sent me a software link and activation code.

Can I just use the link to download the software and apply the activation code?
Will see my existing version 6 and run with my existing data without any problems?

Yes, install FH V7 over FH V6 and it should automatically convert your Projects and any customisations to FH V7 formats.

It may be wise to create backups of your Projects using the FH File > Backup/Restore commands and save custom settings using the Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings plugin.

See FHUG Knowledge Base Family Historian Activation and associated FH web page https://www.family-historian.co.uk/install7 because the licensing process has changed from that used previously.

BTW: Please update the FH version shown in your profile on the right of your postings.
Click on your username, navigate to Edit Profile, select Family Historian Version, then scroll down to SUBMIT.
