Recording foreign marriages in AS
I'm familiar with how to use Tools | Census Templates to create a new census template eg. for Denmark. I now have some Danish church parish register entries for marriages and am wondering if there's a way to create an appropriate template.

The concept of Census Templates only applies to the Census Grid because Census columns vary so much.
There is nothing similar for any of the other data entry types, because all the details from any BMD sources should be covered by all the existing data items on the existing tabs.
What you may need to change is the Tools > Autotext Template that creates the Auto Text in the lower AS pane that is destined for the FH Text from Source field.
You may also need to adapt the FH Source Templates.

Re: Recording foreign marriages in AS
thank you, I'll take a look. As an aside, I just found that I can create the basic details in AS, transfer them to FH and then paste my information which I'd already recorded in an Excel spreadsheet, straight into text from source tab of the citation.

Yes, you can always ignore the AS Auto Text pane and enter the FH 'Text from Source' field afterwards in FH.
That works well in Method 1 'splitter' mode, where you only need to paste into the Source record 'Text from Source' field once, which is what you described.
It is less convenient in Method 2 'lumper' mode, where there may be several Citation 'Text from Source' fields to update, or a shared Note record needs to be attached.
