Merging Sources
Is there a way to merge Sources. For example I have one source: GRO for General Register Office Indexes. However I have found another set of sources: GROI. I wish to merge in the information in GROI into GRO and delete GROI as a source.
I've looked through help and forum but with no success.

Re: Merging Sources
Go to the records window and select the Sources.
Select those source records you wish to merge.
Select Edit - Merge/compare records.

Re: Merging Sources
As long as you are sure GROI is General Record Office Index of the UK and not General Record Office of Ireland!johnbutt1954 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2022 14:36Is there a way to merge Sources. Re: Merging Sources
Definitely not Ireland as I don't have any for their and Scotland is a separate source.
Thanks for the help. I've merged duplicate people before but I couldn't find anything about sources.

Re: Merging Sources
Merging any two records of the same type (Individual, Family, Source, Media, etc) all use the same Edit > Merge command.

Re: Merging Sources
For those who are not aware how to select multiple records, just Left-click on first, then Ctrl-Left-click to select another, repeat this for multiple record selections. You’ll know you’ve done it right as they will all become highlighted. If you add one by mistake, just Ctl-Left-cick on it again to de-select it

Re: Merging Sources
You don't necessarily have to do that multiple selection in order to two Merge records.
Select one of the records, use the Edit > Merge/Compare Records... command, and it lets you select the second record.
No need to use Ctrl selection at all.
