AS7.2.7 to FH7.0.9 tables not moving over
Sorry if this has been asked before - or I'm doing something really silly - but I've started using AS to move date to FH and it has been working well. Then the tables started not moving over; I assumed it was me making a mistake and not filling them correctly or transferring wrongly, but it has happened on various uploads now, so I hope it's not me! If someone could just slowly talk me through it, in short sentances with small words (!), I would be very grateful. I have been uploading various things, and often when I finish it is late and I don't check the upload straight away - so a couple of days later I forget to go back and check, I know there is at least a marriage, a census and birth that have issues.
Hopefully it is something easily fixed that I am doing wrong!
Thank you for your help.
Sarah

Re: AS7.2.7 to FH7.0.9 tables not moving over
Welcome Sarah.
It is important that you use the Auto button in the Text pane near the bottom of the AS window.
That is where the Auto-Text including tables gets created for transfer to the Text From Source field in FH.
So presumably your Text From Source fields are not just missing the tables but are completely empty?
When saving AS, one of the warning messages is "Are you sure you want to save without entering source text?"
That is the clue that you have forgotten to use the Auto button.

Thank you for your reply. I thought I used Autotext, I don't think I got a reminder - but maybe I did!
I did it before and it worked well, so was surprised it hadn't pulled through. I'll have a trial with it on the weekend and work through it slowly (when I'm really with it and awake!). Fingers crossed it was just user error.

It might be worth checking your AS options as each of Census, Birth, etc have a series of "When saving ... entries" tick boxes in respect of what warnings should be displayed.

I have just tried to add a marriage certificate, slowly and paying attention to what I'm doing (!) - I even had my hubby watch me (under protest!). We think I'm doing it all correctly, I used Autotext. It was all there - but didn't move over, does anyone else have any suggestions that I can try. I know it works, but can't get it to. Not sure if I've had an update since then though?

It might help us to understand the problem if you attach a screenshot showing exactly where in FH you are expecting to see the table. It's just possible that it did 'move over', as you put it, but it's not in the place you are looking.

The one for a birth was one I did a few weeks ago when I first got AS, the second one is the one I did last night - I have added the Marriage Details in FH 7 in "add text from source" when it didn't pull through. Hope this helps.

It looks like you are using Method 2 with data in Citations.
In AS Tools > Options > Marriage settings - method 2 there are two options for saving the Source Text:
1) In shared note
2) In local citation text
Which one have you chosen? The first is the default.
I have just checked and unfortunately in FH the Citation Window doesn't show shared Note records linked to a Citation!
(It does for Method 1 Source records with shared Note records.)
So open the Family record that holds the Marriage event and on the All tab expand using the [+] buttons as shown below.
That should reveal the Note Record linked to the Source Citation, which if opened will display the details.
In addition to that, open the Records Window and check the Notes tab.
Are there several Note records with the all missing 'pull through text'?
Assuming that confirms my suspicions then you must change the AS setting identified above, and the similar ones for Method 2 Census, Birth, Baptism, Death & Burial. Have you changed PC or done anything to upset those AS settings?
Also, those Note Record contents need to be transferred to the Citation specific Text from Source fields.

Thank you for that suggestion - I've just changed the settings and I'll have a go tomorrow to see if it works
I did find the table where you said it would be!

Re: AS7.2.7 to FH7.0.9 tables not moving over
Mike's reply arrived while I was writing mine, so I have reduced my reply to avoid repeating what he has said. However I recommend that you spend time deciding whether you want to use Method 1 or Method 2 Sources. This article in the Knowledge Base explains some of the pros and cons of the two methods. Citing Sources: Method 1 and Method 2
The default setting in AS is for the Text from Source to be recorded in a shared note for both Marriages and Births if you are using Method 2. But the Text is showing for the birth, so I think you have used Method 2 for the marriage and Method 1 for the birth. Whichever method you decide to use from now on, I recommend using the same method for all the entries you make using Ancestral Sources, to avoid confusion.

Re: AS7.2.7 to FH7.0.9 tables not moving over
I added some extra advice possibly after you read my reply, Sarah.
Please check, as that advice may be important.
I agree with Lorna.
Usually, Method 1 is preferable, but all types of Source should use the same Method.
