Hello,
For a Descendant Outline report, in the Sources list some are shown with only "(no text)" (please see attachment). If I examin the the sources behind the index numbers with "no text" I can't se any difference, what so ever, compared with the ones that have the propper descriptions in the list. What can the problem be?
Regards
Erik

Re: Descendant Outline report - Sources list "(no text)" issue
It all hinges on your Source Citation settings, which are located in several places and depend on the type of Source.
Templated Sources have their own format settings for Citation Footnotes and Bibliography.
Generic Sources are defined in Tools > Preferences > Sources > Generic Source Formats.
The Report > Options > Sources tab also plays a part.
The "(no text)" display is due to some combination of those settings and your Source Citation data.
See Remove [no text] from Bibliography (18649) and its link to the FH Email list entry which resolves a similar problem.
If you still cannot fix it then we may need to see all your Source Citation settings and some example Source Citation data for the footnotes that say "(no text)".

Re: Descendant Outline report - Sources list "(no text)" issue
aha.. it was all my Templated Sources that had the problem, as i hadn't defined any formats for Bibliography and Footnotes. Works perfectly now.
Thanks Mike - again!!!
