Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
When drawing family tree diagrams, under Diagram Option it is possible add to a Text Scheme, an Attribute such as Residence or an Event such as Qualification and set the Instance to All. However, with version 7, it only displays the first occurrence of the Attribute or Event on the family tree diagram.
This was not a problem with version 6.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
I am not seeing that problem and all instances of facts are shown in the Diagram.
If you Edit the Text Scheme Item then its Template should look like this:
=FactText(%INDI.OCCU[1+]%,"CT","A_Occup: _ _ in _")
The [1+] looping index should ensure all instances are displayed.
Could you please post your item Templates and a screenshot of the Diagram boxes and a Property Box Facts tab to illustrate the missing instances? To attach screenshots see the Forum Usage Tips under Attachments and Taking Screenshots.

Thanks for you reply. I hope the screen shots are enough for you to look at this problem. If require anything else, please let me know.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
I can't claim to understand much of the detail in this posting but have spotted a "slip of the finger" mistake between what Mike Tate suggested and what I see entered into the edit box of the template screenshot.
=FactText(%INDI.OCCU[1+]%,"CT","A_Occup: _ _ in _")
has been entered as
=FactText(%INDI.OCCU[1+]%,"CTA","A_Occup: _ _ in _")
Hope this helps

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
Thank you for noticing the difference but CTA is actually a valid alternative.
I suspect the problem is that the box is too small and the extra Occupation facts have fallen off the bottom.
So enable Diagram > Enable Moving/Resizing or click the Move button.
Then you can select the box and drag its resizing handles to increase its height and width to reveal the extra facts.
If that is the problem then ensure that Diagram > Box States > Autosize Box is ticked.
That should automatically expand the height of each box to show all the facts.
You might also want to adjust Diagram > Options > Dimensions to increase the Maximum box width.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
The OP also mentioned Residence. There are six Residence facts showing in the facts tab but only the last is displayed in the diagram. This can't be explained by the limitation of the box size - the earlier residence facts have been omitted completely.
We need to see the relevant line in the text scheme for Residence.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
That is true, but without seeing the Residence Template and Qualification Template it is difficult to be definitive.
Although the OP originally reported a problem with Residence and Qualification facts, he provided evidence using the Occupation fact, which is explained by a small box size.
If the Residence Template and Qualification Template are similar to the Occupation Template then another explanation is that perhaps some of the facts are not what they seem. Those facts could be a mixture of standard or custom, events or attributes.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
Thanks for your help. I don't think it is anything to do with box size. Autobox size is on and making the box larger manually does not work. This problem only started with Version 7.
I have attached the Residence and Qualification templates.
I appreciate your time trying to solve this rather annoying problem.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
For the moment, I cannot explain why all the Occupation facts are not being included in the Diagram box.
In the Text Scheme, are there other Used Items after the Occupation item, such as Marriage, Death, Burial?
Do they get shown in Diagram boxes after the Occupation facts?
Do some Occupation facts get omitted from the Diagram boxes of other people?
The more evidence you can gather regarding multiple Occupation facts for various people may give us more clues.
The explanation for only displaying the last Residence in the Diagram boxes is the [last] index in the Template!
So contrary to what you thought, the Residence item was not set to All.
All custom Qualification Events should be displayed in the Diagram boxes due to the looping [1+] index.
But do you perhaps have custom Qualification Attributes too which need a different Template, or those custom facts need to be merged into one fact type. Can you investigate if you have both those fact types or do you need advice?
The more details you can provide in screenshots would help analyse the problems.
i.e. Diagram box and the associated Facts tab with all Facts shown in the upper pane and some 'problem' facts shown in the lower pane. Tools > Fact Types... with Show Hidden ticked and focussed on the Qualification fact.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
Mike,
Thanks again. I set the Residence to Last as part of a test (sorry), but putting it back to All displays just the 1st 1 of 4 under my name. Similarly with Occupation it only shows the 1st 2 of 7. Qualifications is correct, showing all three occurrences. As Residence and Occupation are both Attributes I though I would add some Events eg my customised Flight event, and the same thing happens with that, just once occurrence showing.
The only option that shows everything are the Text Schemes, All Events and Attributes and All Events and Attributes and notes. I have attached an image of all my facts.
This 'bug' is not peculiar to me but occurs with everyone on my tree.
If there is anything else you would like screen copies of, please let me know.

Re: Diagram problem with multiple Attributes and Events not showing
That is certainly mysterious. With similar scenarios, all my multiple Occupation and Residence facts are shown OK.
All your Text Scheme Items should be the same as your earlier postings but with Templates using the [1+] index:
e.g.
=FactText(%INDI.OCCU[1+]%,"CTA","A_Occup: _ _ in _")
=FactText(%INDI.RESI[1+]%,"CTA","E_Resid: _ in _")
=FactText(%INDI.EVEN-FLIGHT[1+]%,"CT","E_Flight: _ in _")
The Edit Text Scheme dialogue should just list those Used Items once each as Occupation, Residence, Flight, etc.
I have just tried the standard Text Scheme called Birth, Marr, Death, Occups, Resids + notes and it does not display all my multiple Occupation and Residence facts similar to your problem.
So do you have Occupation Notes and Residence Notes items following your Occupation and Residence items?
Try deleting those Notes items and check the problem goes away.
If that is the cause of the problem then it is certainly a bug in FH v7.
I suggest you report it to CP via their http://www.calico-pie.com/osticket/open.php Support Tickets.
Refer to the Family Historian Sample Project with Anthony Edward MUNRO as Diagram Root Person and the Text Scheme Birth, Marr, Death, Occups, Resids + notes in use, such that only some of his Occupation and Residence facts are displayed.

Mike,
Many thanks for your efforts. I have created a Support Ticket no #951659.
I am a bit surprised, if this is a bug, that no one else has had the same problem.
All the best,
Mike Slucutt
