2 marriages entered and only one showing on diagram

Post by inchtalla » 26 Mar 2021 15:43

I have a woman in the blood line whose husband had been previously married - I've entered his first marriage and that shows up in the focus window but not in the diagram only the second?- I suspect I've blundered again!

You probably have not blundered. What type of Diagram are you displaying?

Most only show blood-line ancestors &/or descendants with their spouses, but not any spouses of those spouses.

The All Relatives Diagram usually shows a lot more.
Also in FH V7, there is All Relatives + Indirect Relatives and an improved Everyone Diagram.

Thanks it's curious - I'm using all relatives and in another case where the male in the blood line married twice both wives are showing - I suppose I could delete and re-enter in correct order but they are in correct order in focus window.

The two spouses of the male in the bloodline show up correctly because an All Relatives diagram inlcudes all spouses of 'blood' relatives. But in your original post you said you were looking at a woman in the bloodline whose husband had previously married. Her husband is not in the bloodline, so his other marriages won't show up. A Mike said, the diagram doesn't show spouses-of-spouses.
