* Resizing a single diagram text box
Resizing a single diagram text box
Hi, I'm a long time, but basic user, of FH , currently still on v6.2. I often send Descendents diagrams to fellow researchers to show how we are related as cousins, and like to include all the residences, occupations etc in each box. Great, but MY box is chocca with information I don't want to share with others. I could solve this in two ways I think: either by simply reducing the depth of just my box (without shrinking the text to fit) so the text is hidden except for my name; or by editing just my box to delete all confidential data within it, without affecting my source record. The former option would be preferable but I can't see how to highlight and change the height of an individual box.

Open the Movement and Control Box (Diagram > Enable Moving/Resizing).
Then when you select a box it has 8 grab handles you can drag.

Another option rather than resizing the box is to have a "clone" of your preferred text scheme and condition the lines you want to hide on a flag (I use the Living Flag) so the lines only show if the flag is not set.
That way you can change to the privatised scheme when sharing diagrams with others.
