Printing 'Custom Query' results.

Post by amuse » 25 Jan 2021 18:17

I have managed (much to my surprise) to set up a custom query, and am pleased with the results, however the only advice I can find relevant to my query is in the post below.

Is there any way (apart from exporting the file to a spreadsheet) that adjustments to the query results can be made such as lines/boxes before printing from FH 6.2? I just want to make it easy to read and annotate, as I know I can never write in straight lines. The saving and opening in a spreadsheet works well but I'm just trying to cut out one step.

Yes, you have to use the Save to Query technique together with the Query Rows tab List tab method to obtain all the Columns for only the Named List records.

The Query Print option will use larger Fonts set via the Query Menu > Options > Fonts button, but that does not increase line spacing.

Use the Save Results to File with either the CSV (ANSI) or Text (ANSI) option.
The CSV file will open in your spreadsheet program where you can adjust Fonts, Row Height, etc, before printing.
The Text file can be opened in your word-processor and quotes removed and line spacing and fonts increased.

No, there is nothing built-in that can do that.
The only suggestion I can make is that empty cells have a few dots or underscores to act as a guide.
