Reverting to fh 6.
I deal with large databases of families who are not known to me. I have made frequent use of the instant tree diagram feature.
This is no longer instant. One is required to make a choice and OKay. Is there a way to make fh7 behave like version 6?
I would like to eliminate some of these extra clicks in fh7
I wonder if it is practical and possible to uninstall fh7 and reinstall fh6.
I would seriously like to do this as fh6 was better suited to the type of work I do.

In Tools > Preferences > Diagrams tab tick Enable One-Click Diagram Display from Toolbar.
Then the four Diagram icons in the toolbar work as they did in FH V6.
On that tab the Saved Options... button lets you establish your preferred defaults for all Diagrams, which may actually save you some clicks.
I would only contemplate reverting to FH V6 if you have full backups of not only all Projects but also all preferences & customisations via the Backup and Restore FH Settings plugin taken when FH V6 was installed.

Thank you Mike. I will try this. And think some more.
Edited to say Thank you again. I must be very attached to the previous ways as it brought tears to my eyes. (of relief)

Is there anything else I could opt to do?

Possibly. What work processes are annoying you?

Re: Reverting to fh 6.
I am not doing massive data entry today but will post here again when I do.
The main extra key strokes relate to citations.
I have the Citation pane open and the open Citation Window on top of it just duplicates that and doesnt need closing?
I have just experimented and it looks as if it is unnecessary to close a citation in order to enter the next one?

Re: Reverting to fh 6.
Correct. Keep the floating Citation Window open and it shows whatever Citation you choose.
The FH V7 yellow Sources For pane no longer shows Citation details, which are now in that floating Citation Window along with the Source record details, so that should usually save a few clicks.
