Sources & Citations

Post by wianb » 28 Dec 2020 12:27

I have decided to re-do all of my Sources & Citations, there are not that many as this is a small database of 650 . Is there a simple way of deleting them all? I'll add that I find them utterly confusing and they are a mess.
Luckily I seem to have a great deal of time on my hands at the moment ;-)

Ian,

One of the techniques in KB at Delete One or Many Records should help -- try the one involving a Named List.

Helen,

I went down a different road. I exported a GEDCOM file and excluded anything to do with Sources. I now have a 'clean' database free from the rubbish that was there before. I'll now be a good lad and do it properly!!

I hate to break it to you but there'll always be something you could do a little better...

I started a re-do of my tree about 2 years ago. Almost finished it.

Going back now to re-do my sources!
