Bug In Research Notes Window

Post by davepacey » 10 Dec 2020 10:30

I have found what I believe to be a bug in the research notes window ( I have submitted a support ticket )

When I try to add a new column and select "Other" I get the pop up box and can add a column name heading but the button to insert Data Reference does nothing, are other users seeing this?

What column are you trying to insert? I think all the columns available are already showing in your screenshot -- there's nothing else you can add, except membership of one or more named lists (from the rh pane of the configure dialog).

I was trying to add a column for custom ID, as in my screenshot. all other windows will let me do this, just not that one, I can type it in and it will add it, its just the button to insert data reference does not work.

Yes, I get the same problem, and it also applies to Source Templates.
That all the available fields are already allocated to Columns is irrelevant.
For all the other Record types you can add the same Column as many times as you like.

I agree Mike.

I submitted a support ticket about this and have since received a response from CP saying it had been logged for investigation.

Dave, can you reply to your ticket and mention the Source Templates corollary?

Calico Pie typically just reply in that way.
