Missing branch

Post by CentralNYTarnows » 27 Jun 2023 12:50

Hello,
I was attempting to remove an empty box attached to a relative and somehow deleted their branch from the chart. It appears that all the entries and pictures associated with this branch are still in the database. Is their a way to recover this? This is a descendants chart and I'm running 7.0.21. Bob

As soon as you redisplay using the Charts > Descendants... command all the branches should be displayed.

You have probably hidden the branch by one of several methods but that is only temporary.
If you clicked on an Expansion Button then clicking it again will reveal the branch.
If you have hidden boxes in the branch then Diagram > Hide/Show Boxes > Show Hidden Boxes will reveal them and right-click untick Hidden will make that permanent.

It is just possible that you have broken a Family link, but you say that all the branches are still in the database and if so then that is not the case assuming the branches are actually connected by child/parent relationships.
