Vertically alligned generations in Descendants

Hello,
When viewing the "Descendant Diagram" the generations are horizontally aligned, and the viewer has to use horizontal slider to view the complete tree. Using horizontal slider is not usual and I would prefer using vertical slider. Is there a way to quickly change the orientation of the diagram so that the generations are aligned vertically?

Right click in the diagram and select Diagram Options. Experiment with the Orientation setting on the General tab.

However, in any tree other than a very small one, I think you'll find that you need to use both horizontal and vertical scroll bars.

Also, try adjusting the Scaling so more of the Diagram is visible without scrolling, but large Diagrams will often need both horizontal & vertical scrolling and adjusting the Scaling via the + Zoom In and - Zoom Out buttons.

Also do not forget you can drag the diagram around by clicking and holding on any blank space and moving the mouse, or holding down the space bar and moving the mouse.

Thank you all! All of your suggestions are greatly useful. Actually, I have never before noted the context dialogue "Diagram options" and now I have an abundance of settings.
