I've got a big family reunion coming up, the first one ever. Children, as yet unacquainted with one another, will be present. I'd like to make a diagram whose boxes will contain a photo and the person's nickname if there is one, given name if not. No text other than the name is wanted.
Can it be done, and if so, how?
Thanks.
Robert

Re: Given names or nicknames only
Generate your diagram as normal then right click and select "Diagram Options" from the menu.
Select the Text tab and choose the text scheme "Name Only (Compact)". This may suit your needs but it does show First Names and Surname.
If necessary the cloned text scheme can be edited to remove the "Surname" and add the "Name (aka)", if that is where you have stored your nicknames.
Use the Up/Down arroes to move the nickname above the First name however I am not sure how to have the First name only show if no nickname is present. You will probably need some conditional code to achieve that.

Re: Given names or nicknames only
In the First Names item tick the option to Only output if previous item blank.
Then the First names will only be displayed if the preceding Nickname (aka) item is empty.

Thank you both. The little chart (still in development) will be a boon for the under-ten set of second cousins.
