Standard Fact Set Unavailable

When I open the Event and Attribute List both Factset and Factset show 'No Events or Attributes'. Ticking the 'Show Hidden' box for displays the installed events and attributes but the same action for shows 'No Events or Attributes'. This suggests that the Factset has not been installed.
How can I access the Standard Factset and then set it to show without having to tick the 'Show Hidden' box?

Have you tried
Either
Installing FH again over the top
or
copying the Standard.fhf file from
C:Program Files (x86)Family HistorianFact Types
to
C:ProgramDataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesStandard
If you are a different version of windows the paths may be slightly different see

for examples

Installing FH again over the top made no difference.
In both folders which you listed I have two files Standard and Standard.v1. Selecting Standard gave me the option to install - this also made no difference but selecting and installing Standard.v1 solved the problem. However I now have an old Standard Fact Set (2006) available instead of the 2012 one. Should I mind?
(It has also improved the template sentence to 'was born' from 'experienced birth' !!)

Having got the old Standard.v1.fhf Fact Set installed try installing the new Standard.fhf Fact Set again.
Yes, without the Fact Set the Sentence Templates do not exist, and the default Sentence is not often very sensible.
What files are in your C:ProgramDataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesStandard folder?
Try doing as Jane said, and Copy the Standard.fhf file instead of opening it.
After some experiments it appears that if the C:ProgramDataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesStandardStandard.fhf file exists but has corrupted contents then the effect is as you described.
Opening/installing the file from C:Program FilesFamily HistorianFact TypesStandard.fhf will not fix the problem.
You MUST copy the file as Jane suggested.
You should also delete the file Standard.fhf from the folder C:ProgramDataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesCustom.

I have copied the file as Jane suggested. It slightly increased the size of the Standard file in C:Program DataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesStandard indicating that the previous file may have been corrupt. This is now Standard (2) Fact Set in my FH 5.0.1 and is available along with All, Standard and Standard.v1
The files in C:Program DataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesStandard are Standard, Standard.v1 and an fhdata file.
I also have the three Standard files in the C:Program DataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesCustom folder. Should I delete all three?

Delete all three Standard*.fhf files from C:Program DataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesCustom folder.
These are the erroneous result of your 'installation' attempts, which installed Custom Fact Sets.
The three files you listed in C:Program DataCalico PieFamily HistorianFact TypesStandard are correct.

I performed an uninstall and re-installed, checked that the larger Standard file was in the correct place and now have a fully functioning Fact Set with no extras in place.
Thank you both for sorting me out.
