Can any kind person help with a problem that has occurred today. I have been adding photos to one of my projects using Paint shop pro to organise them into one file for uploading to FH.All went well and then i had reason to have a look into the above book.
When clicked on,FH5 tries to open it in Paint Shop Pro,not Adobe reader,and while PSPro opens,nothing appears on the screen,when closed a box appears telling me that the manual could not be downloaded and asking if I had Adobe reader installed.
I closed that project and opened another which has had no activity for a few days and had the same problem.I have read Tatewise's answers to a previous PDF enquiry and been into Control Panel and the PDF printers are installed (2)and Family Historian PDF printer is shown on the printers page.

The reason i wanted a look at the book?,how do I get rid of the ribbons in the everybody diagram?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Diagram Options, General tab,  un-tick 'Check for Duplicates' near bottom left.

Can't help you with the other problem I'm afraid!
Don't forget you can always search the Help files - often quicker than trying to find something in the book.

A brief answer (I can post a more detailed one if you can't get this to work):

In windows explorer, locate a PDF file, Right-click on it, select Open With..., click on Adobe Reader, Make sure 'Always use the selected program..' is ticked at the bottom. Click OK.

The Family Historian PDF printer does not affect how PDF files open.
It simply offers a way of creating PDF files from Reports and Diagrams.

What has happened is the .PDF file type has become associated with Paint Shop Pro despite it not being able to recognise the file contents.

Assuming you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, the way to associate it the .PDF file type depends on which version of Windows you are using.
