Is it just me or is there a problem with the notes displaying on the tree diagram. I have added some local notes to people to remind me to look into a problem and they are not showing up.
I have Birth, Marriage, Death + Notes selected for the chart options.

I ment to say the note shows up OK in the focus box.

You are referring to the Record Local Note.
Whereas, the Diagram Text Scheme only shows the Fact Local Notes.
There are many, many Notes attached to a great number of items, so you have to choose the correct ones.
Try a Text Scheme with Rec Notes in the name, such as Birth, Marr, Death, Rec Notes + notes, ages.

Yes rec notes did it but displayed a lot more than I wanted! I will have to decide the type of note to display and where the note comes from. This way I can just display the notes I want to see.

You can design your own Text Schemes.
First Clone one that gives nearly what you want.
You can add and remove Items or Edit existing ones.
You can use Functions as well as Data References.
e.g.
If you use a Template with =GetLabelledText(%INDI.NOTE2%,'Note:') then only a paragraph containing Note: in Record Notes will be displayed.

Thanks for the info - there are just so many things you can do with FH!

I've developed for my own use (rather crudely by some standards, I expect) a Plugin which will list all the Notes linked to a selected Individual, including those linked to facts and to the Individual's Family-as-Spouse record. The Note (local or linked record) is listed, together with the field to which it is linked, and the corresponding Data Reference, e.g. INDI.BIRT.NOTE2, which is far more than is shown on the Notes tab of the Property box.
Does anyone think this would be generally useful? I could upload it to the Plugin Store. There is a similar Plugin to list all Sources linked an Individual.

Peter,
I think this would be very useful. I was just trying to figure out how to get this exact information just the other day and couldn't figure out how to do it. Plugins are too much for my feeble mind to understand well enough to write one.
Thanks,
Bill

OK, I've uploaded them and they await approval, e.g. Notes List for Individual. They're relatively short and not too difficult to follow. I lifted the Function for generating the Data References from the Code Snippets in the Knowledge Base. Then, since I needed to trawl through all fields of any linked Family-as-Spouse record as well as all fields of the Individual record itself, I thought it best to write a function. I wasn't sure that I'd get away with having the function call itself, though!

Peter,
Tried the Notes List for Individual today. Worked great. Just what I was looking for.
Thanks!

OK. Very slight modification in V1.1 to include a Title for the results window. And I now realize that because the tables are declared as global there is no need to pass them as parameters (what was I thinking!?!?) so there may be a further update sometime.
