I installed the v5 trial as an upgrade on my v4 Ubuntu 11.10 Wine system and almost everything I tried seems to work.
Installation ran with no errors or warnings and I could open my project and try out a few things.
There is some sort of display problem with the reports though. They just show blank pages.
I worked my way (briefly) through the 'what's new in v5' list and everything looked good. I couldn't test plugins though as they don't work with the trial version.
I might do a more detailed test when Ubuntu 12.04 official comes out.
