Surname report

Hi Has anyone created a surname report? I have failed to write a report listing all surnames and the number of people with that name. eg Adams (1) Brown (4)Smith (200)Swan(50).. I am surprised that there is no standard surname report. If you can help great otherwise its export to Excel or Access. [smile]

Not that I know of, to get the figures as you say a quick list all query and export to excel and do a pivot table.

okay thanks. Now I know why the FH only cost £40. I dont want to spend my time report writing. I will look at other packages. I have friends using Legacy and Family Tree I will check to see if they also have the same problem.
