Hi,
I'm using v2.3.1 on my old PC (XP) - I now have a Mac for most things. I'm sure I used to be able to print an ancestor or descendant chart from left to right across the page (rather than top to bottom), so the generations appear in columns rather than rows. Am I imagining it? I can't find how anywhere.

(When are you going to bring out a Mac version of FH? I can't find a Mac program to match it! )

I don't have that version but in V4 the option is in Diagram>Options and then on the General Tab choose whichever direction you want under Orientation.

As to Mac, others have explained that re-writing FH for the Mac is a non-trivial undertaking. Whilst a native version for the Mac would be welcome why don't you set up a Windows partition under Boot Camp or try Parallels or VMWare to run Windows programs on your Mac.

Good luck,

Gerry

Orientable diagrams were added in V3. Is it possible you have a copy of V3 somewhere and forgot to install it when you reloaded?
