Using the more/more(+)next to the Name display in the property box I can enter an alternative spelling for the surname in the Names/Titles popup.
Is there a way of displaying this alternative name in the property box without having to create a separate Attribute and having to enter the name again as a new fact?
It can appear in diagrams but I cannot see a way for the property box.
Help would as always be most appreciated.

You can only show one name at a time in the property box.
Click + then highlight the name you want to show, then select
The name you want will then 'Swap' with the previous Primary Name.

You need to use %INDI.NAME[2]%, %INDI.NAME[3]% etc, depending on how many extra names you have added. (%INDI.NAME[1]% seems to default to %INDI.NAME%). You can add an additional Tab to the Property Box or customise an existing tab. (Click on the Menu icon on the top of the Property Box and select Customise...)

There are several options:
1) FH Version 3 Compatibility Details
Use the Property Box > Menu > Customize > Version 3 Compatibility button.
This will add a Detail tab that among other things displays Alt Name.
You can further use Edit Custom Item... to add and remove items as preferred.
2) Customize Property Box Tab
This is similar to the above but using the Property Box > Menu > Customize tab features.
You can even add the Alt Name INDI.NAME[2] and Alt Name INDI.NAME[3] et seq fields to the Main tab if preferred.
3) Property Box Caption
Use Tools > Preferences > Property Box tab and click Captions button near bottom right.
In the Individual caption, insert the data reference %INDI.NAME[2]% where preferred.

Thanks everyone for the help.
I have implemented both 2 & 3 of tatewise's suggestions.
Brilliant
Thanks again
