print layout Kinsfolk census

Post by jsphillips » 29 Nov 2011 13:47

At the moment 'The Kinsfolk Census to do table' prints out in landscape form over 2 pages per single screen shot.
One page contains columns 1841 to 1871 and the other 1881 to 1911

Would it not be possible to do the following:-
reduce the width of the 'Individual' by several characters.
reduce by two characters on Birth date, Marriage date Death Date.
This way I think at least the 1881 appears on page 1.
Unless anyone else has ideas how to lay it out ??
I know I am being pernickety but trying to match page one to 12, 2 to 13 etc is a pain!!

You can adjust the Result Set printout layout for any Query in various ways.
1) Adjust Column Widths
Each column can be adjusted by dragging the Column boundaries in the Result Set.
Hover the cursor over any line separating the Column headers until it becomes two vertical lines with a left & right arrow.
Then hold down the left mouse button and drag the Column boundary.
2) Adjust Print Margins
Use Tools > Preferences > Query Window tab.
Here the Print Margins can be reduced to say 0.2' to fit more on a page.
3) Adjust Print Font
Use Tools > Preferences > Query Window tab Fonts button.
Here you can Edit the Name and Size of the Query Window Results Font.
I use Arial and 10 point.

With the above Print settings the Kinsfolk Census To Do easily fits across a landscape page.
