Netbook amp; FindMyPast
Has anyone had any problems signing into 'FindMyPast' via a Netbook (Atom N570 processor)?
FindMyPast haven't yet been able help, I click on 'Sign In'
the sign in address appears then reverts back to the 'Welcome' page. No other web sites seem to be affected.
Any Ideas would be appreciated. FH runs perfectly.

I don't think the fact that it is a netbook is significant. Which web browser are you using?

I'm using Internet Explorer, I have just noticed that it says 'IE optimized for Bing & MSN', whatever that means.

Try using the Internet Options to delete temporary internet files and cookies. Close and reopen the browser afterwards and see if it makes a difference.

Nick,
That worked upto a point.
I was able to get to the sign in page but I was then returned to the Welcome page again, if I tried to sign in again it was as before, the screen goes blank, the address bar shows findmypast.co.uk/signin.action and then I am returned straight to the welcome page.

When you're looking at the FindYourPast site there may be a 'Compatibility View' button next to the address bar at the top (it depends which version of Internet Explorer you are using) - try clicking on that and see if it makes a difference.

Nick,
That worked once, took me to the Sign In but I still couild not sign in. I tried the compatability again but it did not work again. Tomorrow I am going to compare the IE settings on the laptop with this netbook and see if it makes any difference.
I think the Laptop is version 8 and this one is V9.
Thanks for the advice.

Of course you could always try another browser, e.g. Chrome or Firefox.
