I have entered the parents and children to one of my relatives in the late 1600s. When I go to the tree I find that my 5 times great grandmother is shown with her husband (and his ancestors) but not her parents or brother and sister. Help.

If you centre the diagram on her do you see them? If she actually your Grandmother or is she another wife?

Open the Individual Property Box for the male partner of the new Parents you have recently entered.
The middle of this Property Box will display his Spouse.
The bottom of the Property Box will display the two children.
Click on the Add Child pale blue link and choose Link Existing Record.
Then select the Individual Record for your 5 times great grandmother and click OK.
You may need to use Tools > Re-order Out-of-Sequence Data to list the Children in Birth order.
How could this have been avoided?
When adding Parents for an existing Individual use the Up blue triangle at the top of their Property Box.
You can choose the Add Father (new record) or Add Mother (new record) options.
Then add Spouse and any extra Children as normal.
