Hi, having just managed to merge (with Jane's help)a double/treble entry, I'm now trying to enter a 2nd marriage for a person.
The trouble is , I am apprehensive about how to do it without messing up the details for the 1st marriage,
I would appreciate some staight forward instructions please.
Thanks

Open the Property Box of the person who already has 1st spouse and to whom you want to add 2nd spouse.
About halfway down there are the Spouse tabs.
The 1st tab identifies the 1st spouse with their name on it.
The 2nd tab is blank, and this is where you click.
It should then show a link called Add Spouse/Partner.
Click this pale blue link to obtain a pop-up box.
If the 2nd spouse already exists as an Individual in your database, click Link Existing Record and choose that Individual.
Otherwise, click Create New Record and fill in their details.
Job done!
In the future to add more details, choose the appropriate Spouse tab.
Then click the blue triangle to the right to display their Property Box.
Then click on the Facts tab to add extra Facts, etc, etc.

I forgot to mention that the process above does not marry the spouses.
To do that you must use Add Fact and add a Marriage event, taking care to choose the correct partners from Family Records.
This is in fact another way of adding a 2nd spouse.
When the Marriage event is added, instead of choosing partners, click the New button.
Then fill in the name of the new spouse, and you will find the 2nd Spouse tab is automatically created.
One final tip.
The Spouse tabs may be in the wrong order, if you happened to create the 2nd Spouse first, and then discovered and added the 1st Spouse.
To correct this, use the up/down arrows to the right of the Spouse tabs.
