Firstly, hello to all.

I have FH v4.1 and I'm finding that it is quite an excellent bit of kit.
As I get more and more information into it I find that I'm beginning to feel the need to clean up aspects of the file I have.
I am struggling a little with trying to do this and so my first post is a little cry for help please.
Now I am more familiar with the program, in retrospect I should have created folders to store the differing types of media I have linked. For I now find I have a fair sized folder with all types of media. Is there any way to group the media types together into separate folders within the media folder without losing the links within the program. I have made copies of the gedcom and folder but everything I have tried so far loses the links. Is there a easy way or do I need to just make the new folders move everything, then re do all the links?

You do  not have to redo all the links.
Continue as you were doing, moving the linked media files into the folder structure you desire using Windows Explorer.
Then in FH use Tools > Work with External File Links and click Help to get some background advice.
Essentially you select the current File Links with X against them and then use the Re-Map button to define the new folder of the moved media file.
When you get the hang of it, you can select all the File Links that have been moved to the same new folder and Re-Map them all in one go.

Glad to hear you like FH V4.1.

As a newcomer you may not be aware of Ancestral Sources, which is free data entry front-end for FH.
It is written by FHUG member Nick Walker, and makes the job of entering Census and Baptism records so much easier and more consistent.
Other records such as Birth, Marriage, and Death will be added in the future.
It also offers thought provoking ways to enter and name your data.

There is summary information on the FHUG Home page.
But there is much more in the Knowledge Base (see link on left) under the How to guides for Ancestral Sources.
