Can I change record IDs?

When I first started my tree I didn't realise that it may one day be more useful to have consecutive IDs for family members and so I find IDs out of sequence Is there a way I can change the IDs assigned by the program and have this reflected wherever the IDs are used.

Personally I don't bother with this, but if you really want to you can use the Work With Record Identifiers tool copy the IDs to Custom Id's change them as you want and then copy them back, or just renumber the file consecutively.

Thanks Jane - that did the trick - I only needed to alter a few as there was one large family and I wanted them grouped by ID
