Personally I would guess this an other of the book/surname scams. Although I stand to be corrected.

The William Pince scam is from the same address in Southall that is being investigated by Trading Standards from all over the country. A Google search for '9 Trident Way' is most interesting!

Thankn you for your replies. Never the less, I think I will order William Pince's Chronicle as he also promises me 'a magnificent coat of arms'. I know, by the research I have done, that we peasants do not have a Coat of Arms. It is amazing how these fellows keep going in spite of the court cases against them. Thank you again. Couperan

I received the same letter and realising it was a scam forwarded a copy to the Fraud Department of the local police.

He did not even get the name of the island my family stay on correct .We stay on SHETLAND not Isle Of Orkney as his letter states .If you cant get the address correct how accurate is the information in this book?

thanks to the internet and this web site i will not be parting with any money. i looked up william pince publishers on google and the first click was onto this website and i really dont think my family name would have a coat-of-arms considering we came from a line of gypsies less than a hundred years ago,which might i add i am proud of.
