Deleting used Flags

I've created a number of flags in Family Historian 4.1.3 that I no longer need and wish to delete or rename them. How can I do this?

Just clear the flag from all the places you used it and when you reload FH they will be gone.

The quickest way to delete flags is to use the query, Has Flag, select the flag you want to delete and use the option to clear flag on result set on the query options button.

I've checked that there are no occurences of the unwanted flags and closed and reopened the software. I've even set the default project to blank and created a dummy project.

When I open Family Historian and go to 'Edit', 'Record Flags' I still find the unwanted flags listed.

You used the term 'reload'. Do you mean I should reinstall Family Historian or simply as I have done exit and restart.

I think that you need to use the Tools menu item Work with Named Lists and Flags... and click on the relevant Record Flag in the drop-down list. Then click on Flag Status... and uncheck the box for Always include this record flag in flag lists and click OK. Then if you restart FH the relevant flag should have disappeared.

Right click anywhere on the diagram screen. Click on 'Diagram options', then chose 'Boxes' tab, click on 'Record Flag' in the conditions box, this will activate the << Add Condition, Edit Condition and Delete Conditions buttons. Click on either Edit Condition or Delete Condition then chose relevant flag.

I believe that what you suggest will Delete the Box Condition not the Flag, although this may be a necessary prerequisite before the Flag will automatically disappear..
