Re-installing Family Historian - problem

Post by PaddyPaws » 26 Feb 2011 16:20

Hope I'm posting in the right place and someone can help

I've been a FH user for some time now. I originally purchased V2 on CD, then the V3 upgrade (on CD) and finally the V4 upgrade (as a download).

I recently killed my laptop and am now in the process of setting everything back up on my new laptop. From my understanding I need to install V2, then upgrade to V3 then upgrade to V4. The problem I have is when I try to install V2 from CD I get an error message and can't get any further.

I've attached screen shot of error message

Any help much appreciated
cheers

Looks like my image hasn't attached, not sure what I've done wrong. Trying again on here - think I've got it this time

You need the free CD-backed installer for your particular FH V2 to allow it to work on a new 64-bit PC.

This Installation Guide gives full detail:

Thank you Tatewise - much appreciated

I knew I should have bought the full version of V4 instead of the upgrade :-)
