I am a new user of FH4.1.3. Imported my old GEDCOM file from the Generations Programme that has become defunct as it will not work on Windows 7 and no one now is going to write a patch to make it do so as they did for XP. I wish to use Epson banner glossy paper 329mm x 10m (13inch by 32.8 foot) to print out a chart. The Gedcom file now in FH4 has 2194 people on it. How do I do this? It is not in the manual or help file at least I cannot see it. It is not intuitive to me how to proceed and my perusal of previous queries did not find, with searching, any previous answer. I do not wish particularly, if I can avoid it, to export to a pd format external file. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I presume you have already read chapters 10 and 11 to do with laying out your charts ready for printing.

To work with the larger paper sizes remember to select the correct printing and page size from the File/Print Set and File/Page set up options from the menu and then turn on page boundaries so you can arrange things optimally for your paper shape.

The following two Forum threads refer to continuous stationery printing.

I don't believe Getting the Most From family Historian 4 Chapters 10 & 11 specifically mention continuous paper printing.

Also, File > Page Setup does not affect continuous paper settings.

The File > Print Setup must select the appropriate paper size in terms of 329mm x 10meters.
Then in the Diagram Window, if you switch on Show Diagram Boundaries you should see what will fit on the paper.

What printer are you using? I have found a document on the web for Epson printers (http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/sc3k__/sc3k__ps.pdf) which says at the top of p3:

'The printer driver must be set for Roll Paper (Banner) mode so that page breaks at the printer's maximum page length do not occur (in essence gives you a 0 margin for the bottom of the page.'

Not knowing what printer you have means I can't say for sure if this applies in your case.

So, set your printer setup to banner/roll feed (probably 'Manual Feed Slot (Banner)'?) and set the form size to 'Long Paper 13 x 44 in'. Orientation should be Landscape. I've put these settings as they are what seems to work on my Epson Stylus Colour 3000. I can only go by what the print preview shows me as I have not yet got any roll paper - should be on order this week.

You may also want to turn on 'Avoid Page Breaks'.
