Adding / removing a lot of sources

I am very new to FH and I have so far managed on several occasions to either leave auto citation either on or off by mistake. Is there an easy way to add a citation to lots of records, without having to select each one in turn, delete all the sources which were added by accident (one at a time) and then add the corrected source?

Is there any way to add a source to all the records recently edited (or get a list of all the records you have just changed?)

Nothing springs to mind, you can of course write a query to select all the people linked to a source, updated since a specific date.

Just in case you are not into queries yet I have uploaded one for you.

Another possibility is to delete the source, but of course that will remove it from every place its used.

When adding sources to existing events, don't forget that when auto-source is on you can right click on an event in the records window and add the auto-source citation.

If you simply want to get all the recently changed records, just click on the last changed column on the record window and they will all jump to the top.

If any of this is not clear please post again.

I have used the following helpful tip:
When adding sources to existing events, don't forget that when auto-source is on you can right click on an event in the records window and add the auto-source citation.
But it only seems to work when a single record is selected. I missed adding the source for a block of 200 records (sequential in time updated). Is there any alternative to right clicking and paste auto-citation on each one individually?

One posibility is to create a file containing the 200 people you need to update and then merge them back to the original file adding the source at merge time. Remember to tick the matched but unchanged option on the last part of the merge process.
