Hi When I enter information in the notes box for anceestors it also shows up under their name in the family view , after birth date and death date , is there anyway I can stop this happening please.

I assume you mean it shows up in diagrams. If so, the simplest way is to choose a Text Scheme that doesn't show the notes.
Right click on the diagram and select Diagram Options. Click the text tab and try some of the text schemes - 'Birth, Marr, Death' is a good one to start with. You can also create your own or clone one and alter it.
