Report from named list

I have created a named list from a tree diagram, closing any branches that i do not want.For the resulting individuals i then created a descendant report. Although the named list only contains the individuals i want, the descendant report has added back in all the excluded individuals. Can you help me to produce a report which only includes the people in the named list?

I'm not surprised that a Descendant report should include descendants of the starting individuals. Have you tried using Individual Summary Report or Individual Narrative? They will by default include information about spouses and children of the relevant individuals, but Report Options... can be used to control the content of such reports.

One workaround is to use File > Import/Export > Export > GEDCOM File.

Choose Select button, Named Lists tab, highlight your Named List, then click >> button in middle, and OK button.

Ensure all the Exclude ... options are not ticked, and click OK button.

Choose a Save in: folder or File name: that is different from your master GEDCOM (.ged), and click Save button.

In the popup Do you wish to view the exported file? answer Yes and another copy of FH will start.

Any Reports or Diagrams will only include the Individual records selected for export and their Family records.

When finished, close FH, and optionally delete the exported GEDCOM (.ged) file.
