Tab for Census on Property Box

Post by Marilyn » 02 Jan 2011 14:16

I have managed to create a census tab on the property box with census date, occupation and residence, but this only gives the first census date for which they were alive, if I add census again to this tab it just repeats the same census details. Please can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Any help appreciated, thanks

Sorry to ask so much but I would love to be able to use this clever programme as it can be used, (with a little help if possible)

Tab for Census on Property Box

Thank you Nick, this has helped a lot, I have got a list of censuses plus addresses, which is just how I wanted it,
but not occupations at the time, is there a way to do this.

I'm no expert on this at all so you'll need someone else to help. However, occupations are not directly connected to the census facts (other than by date and source) - for example you may have more occupation facts recorded than you do census records (or vice-versa) so showing the corresponding occupation to each census may not be possible.

I have not tried it, but you might be able to use the Year index as per your other query, how ever it might give the wrong occupation if you have 2 recorded for one of the Census years (eg you have a child's birth cert for a census year)
