I was quite impressed by GedView version 2 on my iPhone and certainly found that it 'did what it said on the tin' (i.e. in the useful and detailed manual, which is downloadable free as a PDF). Importing my GEDCOM file from PC to iPhone was straightforward and the whole process took less than a minute (admittedly only 2334 Individuals & 741 Families + 670 Sources, 69 Notes records, etc.).
Version 3.0.2 was released 22/12/2010 and is significantly enhanced. Import of GEDCOM to iPhone is now possible by file-transfer using iTunes if you have iOS4 on your iPhone (model 3GS or later). But more exciting is that GedView can now also import and display linked multimedia files. The only limitation seems to be that it doesn't support FH's Link-to-Face mechanism.
(NB: I have no commercial interest in GedView, but I do think it is excellent value @£2.39 for either iPhone or iPad.)

Peter you could try running your file through, FHC converter, it might allow you to pick up the faces on GEDVIEW.

Thanks for that suggestion, Jane. GedView was indeed able to import the zipped Output folder from FHC Converter and within a minute was displaying FH's Link-to-Face images correctly, as well as all the other media files linked to Events, Sources, etc.

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but what is FHC Converter? Where can I find it?

It's available from FHUG as a free download. I found it by entering FHC Converter in the FHUG Search box at the left.
