I would appreciate a data validation feature in addition to the existing validation, which appears to be a GEDCOM validation.
Mis typing has sometimes left me with individuals who died at 250 years old, were married before being born, whose children were born before their parents, etc.
I note in the 'Tools ->Preferences ->Estimates' option that suitable criteria already exist but appear to be used only for displaying estimates for an individual.
If these data could be used to validate file entries to list apparent anomalies it would aid in ensuring accurate data. (I note some downloadable Custom Queries for specific aspects of this validation.)
Am I missing an existing facility of this nature or should it be added to a 'proposed wish list'?

Data Validation
It's already on the Wish List in several forms:
Wish List Items for Validation
You may find it useful to review the other current wish list items as well.

Thank you, I took the precaution of checking the 'Wish Lists' first but obviously not well enough. I have since reviewed & voted.

Data Validation
I've just uploaded a new Custom Query Parent Ages (FH4) (needs FH version 4) which checks both parents' ages against the birth date of the individual, thus achieving in one query what needed several of the existing older queries. There are prompts for the min. and max. ages for father and mother.

Data Validation
Awaiting FH wishlist fulfillment, I use a copy of GedPad Pro (freeware but distributed only with The Complete Genealogy Reporter) to import my gedcom file.
It does a lot of checking before it gets to the meat of the program and highlights any obvious errors before proceeding.
After this process, I then check check against a large range of the gedcom standards.
Throughout all this process, I make any changes into FH directly rather than make multiple copies of my master file.
I regard myself as a careful and methodical recorder, but it's amazing how many little errors creep through!
