Apologies if this has already been asked and answered, but I can't find it.
I'm about to transfer from an old to a new PC (both Windows 7 64 bit). Where will I find my Ancestral Sources settings, or do I need to recreate them manually?

Most settings are stored in the registry so the easiest way to transfer those is to choose Tools->Backup AS Options and then copy the file that is produced to your new PC and having installed AS on the new PC run it and choose Tools->Restore. I've not done much testing of this but it should work!
If you've changed any of the census templates you may want to export those and import them again using the relevant buttons on the Census->Census Templates screen.
Hope this helps (and works!)
Nick

Just to add to what Nick has said:
On old PC use Tools > Backup A.S. Options which should use your AS Backups folder to save an XML file.
Copy all the folders and files that you have specified in Tools > Options > General settings > Folders from old PC to new PC.
i.e. Settings Folder, Logs Folder, and Backups Folder.
Then on the new PC set AS to specify these copied folders.
The only command then required is Tools > Restore A.S. Options.
All the Census Templates and Countries & Places changes should have transferred across in the Settings folder XML files.

Thanks, Nick and Tatewise. Saving the settings, copying the directories and restoring the settings worked fine.

Note to Nick Walker:
Perhaps a Help section in AS on 'How to Move Ancestral Sources to Another PC' would be a useful addition.
