Question: How to put all the info in Family Historian and in the diagram/chart where the issue is:
A (male) is married to B. They adopted child C. C is daughter of D. A and D are brother and sister AND biological father of C is unknown. WHAT DO YOU DO ?

This is a common problem, all I do is add the child to both families (the birth mother in a family with out a spouse) in the normal way.
I would also add an Adoption event even if it was an informal arrangement.

Jane,
The adoption event was formal however, the adopted daughter prefers to keep it secret. Should I respect her wishes and just list her adopted line'?

If you have been specificity requested to keep the information private then I would document the information only with in a Private note for your own reference using the double square brackets to try and avoid inadvertently being included on reports you share with others.

There may (or may not) be two issues here:
1. How do you put all this into FH?
2. How do you keep confidential that which should be kept confidential?
If you have every confidence your FH data will never get out, then it doesn't matter what you put into FH. In this latter case, two families seem to be required, A&B and D (probably without a spouse). C is a child in both, as Jane suggests.
If, on the other hand, you worry that you might print something off that includes this, then put all this info into a private note ([[ ]]) as Jane suggests. But DON'T pass out a GEDCOM file without manually removing the sensitive data, as the recipient will be able to see the stuff.
