Memory

How much memory . I have a lot of family history to enter and I was wondering how the memory works I find it hard to see how much memory im useing at the minute I have imported 500 files into FH still ok could I go much more without adding extra memory at the minute I have 2gb

I don't think memory should be a problem.  FH on my 2GB laptop can handle a GEDCOM file (not my own family!) containing over 200,000 Individual records and over 65,000 Family records.

I might have this wrong but by 'memory' do you mean RAM in which case 2Gb sounds fine for FH. If however you are enquiring about storage of files you are probably into the 100's of Gb's on modern computers and again should find this quite adequate ,depending of course whether or not you are filling your computer up with 1000's of photos (like me!)and then could be facing a problem. Go to My Computer and right click then click on Properties. You should get a display which shows you how much Free and Used space you have on your disc drive (which is of course another form of memory) All the best
