Narrative Reports amp; Ancestral Sources

I am not sure whether I should be posting this here or under Ancestral Sources but here goes:

I have entered a number of 1911 census using Ancestral Sources with the information that is available on the census.

When I print a narrative report, if there has been no entry made in Ancestral Sources under a particular column, on the report it is showing eg:  'On 2 April 1911 she was a Servant in Golborne.  Industry or service with which worker is connected:
Whether Employer, Worker or Working on Own Account: '.

Is there a way that I can print the narrative report without these '' items showing.

Thanks

I presume you must have a custom attribute for the Industry, if so you can set Family Historian to exclude the attribute from the report. Alternately just create a query to find the attribute and delete it when it's set to not recorded.

Thanks Jane for your reply.

I am not aware that I have set up a custom attribute, I am not really sure how to do it, so I had assumed that it was something that had been populated from Ancestral Sources when the census data was entered and transferred into FH.

I will do my homework to see how to exclude this attribute from the report.

Once again, thanks.

There are two options to eliminate these Report details.
(1) In FH under the Report Options > Main tab untick Inc. Event/Attr Notes, but this will exclude all Event & Attribute Notes.
(2) In AS use Census > Census Templates and perform the following steps:
Set Country/Region: UK and Year: 1911.
Select each Census Columns entry in turn.
For each Column Type: Generic untick Record even if no data entered.
Click the Save button.
Repeat for Year: 1901 & 1891 & 1841.
(1851 to 1881 have no Generic Columns).
This is expected to be the default in the next version of AS.

Unfortunately, you will have to delete the offending Notes that are already in the FH records.
