Hello Historians
Can anyone assist me in cracking a small but annoying problem in report printing,

When I print a report based on Charles Cross the 1891 census appears in full,while in his wifes entry the sentence is cut.
When I change it and print his wifes report,her 1891 entry is complete while her husbands sentence is cut.
The other 2 captures are of the entries in the Individual records.
TIA

What sentence template are you using? I assume it's a custom version as you have 'in' twice in the sentence.
Have you tried turning off the 'use short form for repeated place names? The problem is you appear to have the address in the place field for some reason, so if you use the short form it will trim the place to the first comma.

Hello Jane,and thanks for your reply.
You ask what sentence template I am using,I am not using a sentence template,what you read on my examples are the truncated sentences.
I have just unticked the box 'use short form........' and this appears to have solved the problem,many thanks.
Without your help I would not have found that answer in a month of Sundays.

It is good to hear you've solved the problem. I don't know how much data you have in your file so it might be too late to change now but I really would recommend users to use the Place field to record the town and county (and country possibly) and the Address field to record the house number/name and road, etc. It is much easier, for example, to see that someone lived in the same place throughout their life if each fact has 'Clitheroe, Lancashire' as the place rather than various different full addresses.

But how to get 'Address' into a Report, immediately after 'Place'? Also, 'Burial' gives me the Cemetery detail (which I enter into 'Address', but does not print 'Place'.

In the report options you can select 'Include Event/Attr addresses' - the output format isn't necessarily what you want but it is OK.
Alternatively you could change the templates for the facts you use under Tools->Work with fact sets. For example the standard template for Census is:
{individual} appeared in the census {date} {place}
If you change this to:
{individual} appeared in the census {date} {place}
Then if there is an address it will be included following the place. For example:
He appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Warrington at Dallam Cottages
The angle brackets mean that if there isn't an address it won't include the word 'at'.
You could do similar things with the other facts such as Birth, baptism, etc.
Hope this helps
