Missing marriage in Report

Post by skipindave » 20 Jul 2010 21:05

Hello Folks,I am putting this through the forum as I need to attach descriptive bits.

In capt1 is the entry of a first marriage for Josephine.
In capt2 the report as FH prints it,no mention of marriage, only that Mr Turgis has signed the marr cert as witness.
In cap3 is the sentence I have inserted, and appears on the main screen.

I use this 'add a sentence' as my way of trying to make the reading of a report a little more interesting.

Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong?,been pratting around all afternoon on this. Why is the marriage not showing up on the report?

TIA

Dave in Inskip.

PS. to the 2 folks who have helped me with the PDF printing,I have not been able to find my contact this week, but the job is ongoing, and I will come back.

Missing marriage in Report

Dave,
It looks as though you have replaced the default Sentence with your text about the witness.

What you could do instead is to copy the contents of the  present Sentence field into the Note field on the Facts tab.
Then delete everything from the Sentence field, which will restore the default.  Then add {note} to the end of the default Sentence field.

Missing marriage in Report

Hello Peter, many thanks for your interest in my problem,I did as you suggested and deleted the sentence,no difference,I then deleted the heading 'Sentence' and all got back to normal. The marriage appears as I expected and I have decided to add the sentence into Josephines write-up.

Thanks again for your help,it just needed that little jolt from elsewhere,to sort out,

regards
